To end homelessness in New York City through a combination of emergency services, permanent housing, employment programs, youth support, and powerful advocacy aimed at protecting the rights of the most vulnerable.

| 🏠 About Coalition for the Homeless.

The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless individuals and families. Founded in 1981, our organization is dedicated to ending mass homelessness in New York City and protecting the rights and dignity of the unhoused.

| Objectifs.

  • Provide Emergency Relief

    Deliver food, clothing, and crisis intervention services to those living on the streets or in shelters.

  • Secure Permanent Housing

    Offer long-term housing solutions and rental assistance to help families and individuals transition out of homelessness.

  • Empower Through Employment

    Provide job readiness training, skill-building workshops, and career support for homeless adults seeking independence.

  • Support Youth and Families

    Run programs that ensure homeless children and youth have access to education, tutoring, and stability.
